Hello and welcome back.
Yesterday I share about Jesus made an important in the Garden of Gethsemane that would forever change His destiny and ours. Also, what is the suffering here which we sometimes do not see? Before I start, as this site is for all, today, I would like to had some pointer for those who had lost touch with God, and want to get back in His arms. If you truly wants to come back to the Lord, you needs to repent for your sins and then begin reading the Bible daily, investing time in prayer with the Lord, and connect with a Bible-teaching church. God is right there, but you not feeling Him because you been away from Him. If you draws near, you will discover Him again. If anyone need any prayer, please feel free to request.
All right, so, here what the suffering we sometimes failed to see?
Jesus separation from His Father. YES! Why?
There was a spiritual cup offered to Him. And in that cup lay all our sins and curses. All our filth was in that cup. And to drink that cup meant that He would be separated from His Father, whom He loves.
Up to that time, Jesus had never been separated from His Father. The reason He could do all kinds of miracles when He walked the earth was that His Father was with Him - "My Fahter had been working until now, and I have been working... Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner." (John 5:17,19) Every time He mentiond the Father, He found strength and comfort.
So, Jesus was given a choice - to drink the cup of our sins or to go home to heaven. If He rejected the cup, His Father would bring Him home, and the whole world would literally go to hell, because of sin.
But Jesus loved us so much that He stayed. He drank the cup of our sins to the very last dregs. He went all the way for us - all the way to the cross.
Allow me to wrap with the following sentence.
Jesus the perfect Servant did not choose to go out free but stayed on earth because He loved His Father and He loved His bridge, the church. What a GREAT Shepherd! Here, how can we also benefits from it? It is when you take your place as a sheep and rely on Jesus as your good Shepherd that the abundant life He came to give you will become reality. Hear this message and realise all the blessing and privileges that belong to you as a sheep in Jesus's flock.
Amen.
