Welcome back! Had rest for a day, let's look at Why God is smiling at you - always. Why?
As a Man, Jesus definitely felt the physical pain of the scourging, thorns and nails. But His greatest suffering as I mentioned, was separation from His Father.
At the cross, He cried, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthrew 27:46) God turned His back on Him. At the time when He needed His Father the most, His Father had to turn His back on Him. Do you know why? Because if God did not turn His back on Jesus, He would have to turn His back on you! Jesus took your place so that you can have His place, where God's face is always smiling on you.
Today, we have God's face smiling on us all the time. The countenance of God is shining on you and your family. That is why I can say to you, "The Lord make His face shine on you." (Numbers 6:25) Jesus paid the price so that God would always smile on you, and never leave you or forsake you.
Indeed, Jesus do loved us and this show the more we should light on those who had yet to know Him, and our Heavenly Father.
Before we end, allow me to share the following.
Jesus said that we were to be His witnesses - a witness I a legal trial gives testimony of what happened. That's what we're to do - tell people what God did for you and then let the Holy Spirit do the rest. If they are ready, they will ask questions. Also, we are to be salt and light. Salt adds flavor and light dispels darkness. We are to go into the world and shine the light and love of Jesus. We do this by putting our wants aside and focusing on serving others. The more we serve, the more we show the light and love of Jesus to people who are living in darkness.
Amen.
